Welcome to our Family Catechesis program!
Our Family Catechesis program is designed to provide each family with tools and confidence to live their Baptismal promises. Together we will continue to strengthen the religious and spiritual lives of our families.
Family Catechesis for Grades K-8 will meet one Sunday a month beginning in October through April, in the Fr. Sirianni Hall at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. While we feel the "Whole" Family Catechesis is the best option, we also understand that due to conflicts, attending Sunday Family Catechesis is not always possible.
Therefore, we are offering parents the following options:
1. Sunday Family Catechesis once a month-11:30am-1:30pm
After Mass, everyone will gather for a potluck lunch. Students will meet with a catechist, and parents will meet with Fr. Tom to hear a teaching on that month's theme. Additional at-home lessons will be provided for students to complete on the "off" weeks.
2. Wednesday Students Only Faith Formation once a month-6:00pm-7:15pm on a trial basis. Students will meet with the catechists. Fr. Tom will not meet with the parents. Additional at-home lessons will be provided for students to complete on the "off" weeks.
3. Sunday and Wednesday Sessions. You may attend either session or both.
Sacramental Students
1. Sacramental preparation students (Grades 2, 7 and 8) will meet one additional Sunday after 10:30am Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel from 11:30am-1:00pm.
2. Confirmation students (grade 9) begin classes in the fall at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Please contact Brenda Krzak for more information.
Registration forms are due September 17, 2023 and are available at the link below and at the entrance of the church.
We look forward to growing in faith with you and your family!
